Mittal International School participated in the 19th Global Women Folk Dance Competition and Festival at D.L.F Public School, Ghaziabad organized by Charu Kaushal Foundation. In this competition 9 countries- Bulgeria, Austria, Indonesia, Czrch Republic, Nepal, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Arab Republic had participated. Kota (Rajasthan) Mittal International School bagged the First Prize amongst all the countries. Students were felicitated with a medal and Trophy. Al the participants got certificate with cash prize of Rs 25,000. Students performed Gangour Folk dance under the direction of our Dance Teacher Ms. Anjana Sharma and emerged as Champions by outshining all the contestants.Participants were :- Yashmita Sharma, Prakrati Jain, Shakshi, Priyanka, Aadrika Jain, Yashika, Khushi Sharma, Anushka, Rushil Tandon, Aditi Shaw, Swarangi, Vahini, Shreeya Gupta.
14th All India Women Folk dance Competition was held at Gniety Theatre, Shimla during 28th September to 3rd October, 2010.
Mittal International School, Kota participated in this International level of folk dance competition.
This competition was hosted by Shimla, Charu Castle Foundation, in which different schools of countries were enrolled and gave the performances and show case their Countries folk dance forms. Total 90 teams performed in two categories of Senior and Junior groups with the theme ‘Folk dance’.
12 Girls of Mittal International School, in the guidance and direction of Ma’am Anjana Sharma and sir Terence-Peter performed in the event on 30th September at Gniety Theatre, Shimla. Our performance was appreciated greatly by the organizers and Dignitaries of Himachal Pradesh and we bagged 2nd position.
It was a great honour and proud for all of us. Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, felicitated our team with certificates and a trophy.
